The 2025 Homecoming Week will begin with our annual parade hosted by Meredosia High School on Sunday, September 28th at 3:00 p.m. A meal is being hosted prior to the parade in support of the Meredosia Music Boosters. Today's HS golf match at K's Creek has been cancelled.
Students in Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica are teaching the kindergarten classes some Spanish this year. The first lesson was over colors- los colores!









Juniors who are interested in the healthcare career field attended the UIS/UIC Nurse for A Day program. Students heard from healthcare professionals from Memorial Hospitals, were able to work with UIC patient simulators, use equipment aimed at sports medicine, and learn different healthcare pathways from current nursing students.




Job Opportunity!

This morning in Mrs. Miller's Environmental Science class, students dug clover roots and looked at them under the microscope to see the nodules where nitrogen fixing bacteria live as part of their lesson on earth's biogeochemical cycles.



For the 2025-2026 school year, Triopia is pleased to spotlight its new staff members. Andrew Winkeljohn is our new high school social studies teacher! Mr. Winkeljohn attended Quincy University and graduated in the Fall of 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. When asked about his favorite class to teach, Mr. Winkeljohn states that U.S. History is his favorite subject. His favorite part of teaching US History and/or social studies is when students are able to examine a historical topic and develop their own personal perspective. Outside of school, Mr.Winkeljohn enjoys spending time with family, watching sports and movies, and thrifting with his girlfriend. Even though he’s only been here for a month, he states that his favorite thing about Triopia is how the community and school and have been incredibly welcoming and are willing to assist with anything! We are happy and proud to have Mr. Winkeljohn as part of our staff! #triopia

Trivia Night!

For the 2025-2026 school year, Triopia is pleased to spotlight its new staff members. Eli Embley is our new high school math teacher! Mr. Embley graduated from Western Illinois University in the Spring of 2025 with a major in chemistry and minors in math and geology. This is Mr. Embley’s first year in the classroom. When asked about his favorite thing about teaching, he said it’s the “lightbulb” the students get when they understand the formulas and know how to apply them. Outside of school, Mr. Embley says he loves to hangout with his family and friends. He also loves game nights, even though he says he is not great at trivia. When asked about his favorite thing about Triopia, he states that he appreciates it as a community and how everyone treats each other here. When asked to share one more thing, Mr. Embley says that he is a Triopia grad and he is excited to be back! We are happy and proud to have Mr. Embley as part of our staff! #triopia

For the 2025-2026 school year, Triopia is pleased to spotlight its new staff members. Alison Meyer is our new 2nd grade teacher! Mrs. Meyer graduated from Triopia in 2002 and Millikin University in 2006 with a BA in Elementary Education. She previously taught kindergarten at Bluffs Elementary and Triopia Grade School. She has also been a substitute in the district for several years. Mrs. Meyer says her favorite subject to teach is reading. Outside of school, she likes to read, watch movies, and loves cheering her kids on in their various activities. When asked about her favorite thing about Triopia, she states that it’s the feeling of “home” that she has here. She has been involved in Triopia her whole life as a student, a coach, a booster member, a PTO member, and a teacher! When asked to share one more thing, Alison says she was the Triopia Homecoming Queen almost 25 year ago! We are happy and proud to have Mrs. Meyer as a part of our staff! #triopia
