
Good afternoon. Govenor JB Pritzer has mandated that all school districts in Illinois close from March 17 - March 27. Triopia Schools WILL be in session on Monday, March 16 - all JH/HS students will go to all A day and B day classes on Monday. School will resume on Monday, March 30. More details and information will be shared early next week.

Those seven students will be entered into the National Handwriting Contest as well.

Today the staff took part in "Community Service Day". Some staff members took to the streets of Chapin to pick up trash. Some staff worked at P.A.W.S and helped with the animals. Others made "no-sew" blankets for hospital patients. Thanks to all for the opportunity! #triopia

Congratulations to Sara Evans as she has been selected as the February Upperclassman Student of the Month. Sara is a Senior who is involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, and serves as her class President. Sara was nominated by Ms. Lynn. Congratulations to Caden Moore as he has been selected as the February Underclassman Student of the Month. Caden is a Sophomore who is involved in football, basketball, and baseball. Caden was nominated by Mrs. Kelli Embley and she had the following to say about Caden, “Caden has wonderful character; he is respectful and kind to his teachers, peers, teammates, and even opponents in sports. Early Dismissal for School Improvement Day - tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11.


Congratulations to Noah Tapley as he has been selected as the February Junior High Student of the Month. Noah is an 8th grader who is involved in band. Noah was nominated by Mrs. Price. She wrote, “Noah is quiet, but very kind and polite. He participates in class and seems to have adjusted more to a new school. He is active in band and goes down there most days in advisory to help Mrs. Burchard. The Winter Sports Banquet will be held on Wednesday, March 18 at 6:00 PM in the HS gym. The following athletes will be honored: HS Girls Basketball, HS Boys Basketball, Poms and Cheerleading.
The menu for the banquet will be a Taco Bar - please RSVP to the Triopia HS office (217-457-2281 x1021) by Friday, March 12 if you plan to attend. The cost is $5/per person, the athletes meal will be covered.

Spring Pictures will be taken on Thursday, March 12 - all students PK-6th will have their picture taken. Order forms have been sent home. Students in grades 7-12 have the option of having their pictures taken. Order forms for JH/HS students are outside the office door.
