Dear Students, Parents, Staff and Community Members: The IDPH changed their guidance for athletic activities this afternoon. Any region in Phase Four will be able to participate in all sports to varying degrees. I am so excited for our student athletes! The guidance can be found here: http://dph.illinois.gov/covid19/community-guidance/sports-safety-guidance Please be patient in regards to questions about specifics and schedules. The IHSA and IESA will meet soon to revise the athletic calendar. Then, district athletic directors have the difficult job of rescheduling contests and gym schedules. Remember, this is only as long as we remain in Phase Four. Do your part to follow guidelines so our students and community can stay safe and our athletes can have the seasons they have had to miss! Sincerely, Adam Dean Superintendent

Theresa Langley visited the accounting class today to talk to the students about her job as the district bookkeeper. Mrs. Langley talked about different accounts the school has, how things are accounted for, information that is included on the school's financial sheets and how she decided to get into the accounting field. Thanks Theresa!!

Triopia Jr/Sr High will be adjusting our RL (Remote Learning) and RLQ (Remote Learning Quarantined) expectations for the second semester starting on January 19th (which is a B day). All students who have elected to learn from home or are forced to quarantine will be expected to follow the expectations below. The biggest change is: Remote Learning students and Remote Learning-Quarantined students are required to be in class each day. The students should be present in the online format of their teachers choice until they are dismissed by their teacher. Therefore, all RL and RLQ students will be expected to follow the same schedule as if they were at school learning. Grades can be affected if the students do not attend class.

Triopia Jr/Sr High School has decided to forego final exams for the first semester. We feel that having an additional week of instruction will be more beneficial than having final exams this year. Therefore, the week of January 11th will be a normal school week.

Final Exams Canceled
As we head home for a two-week winter break, we wanted to take the time to tell our teachers and staff how much they are appreciated. We have had seventy-eight days of student attendance this first semester, and it's all due to the hard work and perseverance of our teachers and staff. There were difficult days, and surely some moments of frustration, but they did it. This was not what they signed up for, but yet every day they showed up and did what needed to be done for the students of our community. We couldn't be any luckier. The communities of Arenzville, Chapin, and Concord are blessed to have such dedicated teachers, paraprofessionals, office staff, custodians, bus drivers, and cooks. If you are a student or community member, take the time by whatever means necessary to thank our roughly sixty employees for doing an incredible job these first five months. They got the job done! Thanks to Myers Signs and Graphics for helping with the signs to display our appreciation! #triopia
