Gracie Hobrock is the Upperclassmen Student of the Month for March. She is the daughter of Michael and Tara Hobrock and she has a brother, Andrew (7th Grade). Gracie is involved in Student Council, Drama, NHS, Class President, and the captain of an awesome poms team.
Mrs. Embley nominated Gracie and noted, “Gracie is a natural when it comes to language, but she doesn't settle with what comes easy to her. She has gone above and beyond expectations this year exploring her interests in Spanish. Gracie has excelled independently, achieving high grades because of her dedication to her studies. She is also the Poms team captain, where she leads with kindness, authority, and grace!” Gracie was also nominated by Mr. Doyle had this to say, “Despite spending the entire year online, Gracie has the top grade in Dual Credit USH. This is a course that challenges juniors in a regular year, and Gracie has had a new level of difficulty of doing it all remotely and independently. It takes an incredible amount of effort and discipline to do this work at a high level, and Gracie has been self-motivated and put forth her top effort this year.”
Gracie plans to attend college and is looking at going to Illinois College and is interested in going into the medical field or an area that she can help people. Gracie also would like to attend the Disney College program after high school.
Gracie's favorite class is Spanish because she really loves learning a new language to communicate with people better in the future and she really likes Mrs. Embley as a teacher. Some of Gracie’s favorite things are stuffed bread, her dog Fluffy, the TV show The Office, the movie Tangled, and her favorite holiday is her birthday :). She enjoys doing artwork, swimming, running, singing, dancing at AADM, and working at Midwest Youth Services. Gracie does not like Peanut butter, white chocolate, and when people do not use the correct there/their or your/you’re. Congratulations, Gracie Hobrock!

Addison Walker is the Underclassmen Student of the Month for March. She is the daughter of Brad and Melissa Walker and has a brother, Joe (2020 graduate). Addison is involved in softball, volleyball, and cheerleading here at Triopia.
Addison was nominated by Mrs. Burrus who had this to say, “Addison has a very firm grasp on the current material and has stepped up several times to help students when asked and even led a class review before one the quizzes. It is this type of leadership that is rare to find in an underclassman but is very appreciated.” She was also nominated by Mr. Beddingfield who said, “An ordinary day in science class got out of hand with topics off subject. Addison had the courage to speak up in front of her peers and get the class back on task to finish the needed work. Showing incredible focus/determination and dedication to her studies. True commitment. Impeccable work ethic.”
Addison wants to attend college after high school but is unsure about where at this point. She would like to study to be a Nurse Practitioner or Athletic Trainer in college. After high school Addison wants to surround herself with good people who support me and she wants to live life to its fullest. Addison’s favorite class is PE or Math because both classes are fun and she enjoys being in Mrs. Burrus and Mr. Thompson’s class. Some of Addison’s favorite things are ducks, cows, bagels, poptarts, the TV show Dance Moms, the movie The Blind Side, and her favorite holiday is the 4th of July. She also enjoys playing softball and watching tiktoks. Addison’s least favorite thing is when people do not use common sense. Congratulations Addison Walker!

The March Junior High Student of the Month is Bronc Bogner (7th grade). He is the Son of Curt and Sydonia Bogner and a brother, Lance (11th Grade).
Bronc was nominated by Mrs. Dober who had this to say, “Bronc is a strong math student but has been extra strong this last chapter. He has had to miss a couple of days and he got caught up quickly. We also have had some student teachers here from IC, and Bronc is always the first to answer for them or to help them know something about our school. As a 7th grade leader, he is doing great!”
Bronc wants to attend Garden City Community College and then become and underwater welder. In addition, Bronc wants to make the rodeo team as well. Bronc's favorite class here at Triopia is Math class with Mrs. Dober because it is the most challenging and he sees that as being fun. Bronc really likes cheez its, dogs, the show Friends, the movie Cars 2, and playing basketball. His favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. His favorite thing to do outside of school is to be a part of rodeo’s. The only thing Bronc mentioned that he does not like is baked beans. Congratulations Bronc Bogner!

Good Afternoon:
Please see the updated indoor athletics rules for Triopia CUSD #27. The major change is indoor capacity limits which have been updated by the IDPH. Instead of fifty total spectators, we are updating to allow for 25% of our capacity. To begin, we are setting that at four spectators per home athlete and two spectators per guest athlete (and then may reassess). We will still limit spectator seating to only the east bleachers and mezzanine.
We will still ask for spectators to sign in. Masks are still required.
Sincerely,
Adam Dean
Superintendent
