We hope you can join us Wednesday to kick off the holiday season...

From all of us at Triopia...

Mark your calendars...

The first graders made some pumpkin pie using oil pastels today in art! #triopia

It was a packed house for Triopia vs. Virginia JH basketball game on Monday night.
In addition to the game there was a bake sale held to support “Shop with a Cop” that raised over $750. Thank you to those who helped with this event.
And a HUGE shout out to 8th grader Grant Fricke on scoring his 1000th point in his junior high basketball career. Congratulations Grant!

The 8th grade students are selling SafeCo coupons from now until November 30. See any 8th grade student to get your donut coupon!!

World Kindness Week was a success at Triopia! Staff and students took time to show appreciation to others by notes and kind words. Please take the opportunity this weekend to give a small gesture of kindness to someone. You could make their day. #triopia

Triopia Schools and Offices will be closed - November 24-26, 2021.

Last Day to turn in Cardinal calendars is tomorrow …. Orders are due Friday, November 12!

Congratulations to Lance Bogner on receiving the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award. He was honored at a ceremony at the DAR Mansion in Jacksonville on Tuesday night. Congratulations Lance!

Coaching Opportunity!

Friday, November 12 is our 60th day of school - we encourage staff and students to dress as they would have in the 1960s!
We ask that staff and students dress in red, white and blue on Thursday as we host our annual Veterans Day program.

Reminder:

Good Morning:
This week is World Kindness Week, which culminates with World Kindness Day on November 13th. The main tradition of the week is to encourage kindness to prevail over hatred. Many times, the importance of this day is show through small gestures. Now more than ever, I feel it is important to promote compassion and sympathy within our students. While I am constantly impressed with the empathy shown by many of our students that attend our school, I ask you this week to have a conversation with your child at home about the importance of being kind.
Sincerely,
Adam Dean
Superintendent

Soft Start Friday: On Friday the 4th graders start the day off “soft” by coming into the classroom to group activities instead of seat work. Today the students had 4 challenge activities to choose from!
It’s a great way to begin our Fridays.

It was great to see so many parents last week at Parent/Teacher Conferences. We wanted to follow up and make sure all parents were aware that they can still request to meet with a teacher and remind parents to stay up to date on their child's schoolwork by using their Teacherease account or requesting to be added to their child's google classroom.

Good Morning:
The regularly scheduled BOE meeting will be moved from Wednesday, November 17th to Tuesday, November 16th.
Thank you,
Adam Dean
Superintendent
Triopia Jr/Sr High School would like to also recognize the following students for being nominated for October student of the month. We have a lot of great kids and these students certainly deserve a shot out as well.

The October Junior High Student of the Month is Rylee Johnson (7th grade student). She is the daughter of David Johnson and Melissa Johnson and she is involved in band, scholastic bowl, and track and field here at Triopia.
Rylee was nominated by Mrs. Morrow who had this to say, “Rylee is so sweet and thoughtful - from picking up trash outside on mask break to sharing her Trojan Ticket prize with her Reese's-loving teacher (me)! Academically, she's a great addition to the class. She'll volunteer to answer a question, and she's always taking the initiative to go above and beyond on an assignment.” Mrs. Burchard also added that, “Rylee is a hard worker and is self-motivated to improve her skills. On top of that, she jumps in to help when she sees someone in need. I love having Rylee in class!
Rylee wants to study abroad after high school and wants to go to Switzerland or Japan to do so. Rylee also mentioned she would like to go to Harvard as well and she wants to study Child Psychology. Rylee says that her favorite class is language arts with Mrs. Morrow because she really loves to write. Rylee really likes hot cheetos/Takis, Lemurs, the TV show Criminal Minds, the movie Dodgeball, and her favorite holiday is Valentines Day. Rylee really likes to write, draw, and play softball. However, Rylee is not a fan of slow music, social studies, and history based books. Congratulations Rylee Johnson!
