Citizenship - Students of the Week for October 21: Abigail Carie, 3rd grade daughter of Rick and Alisha Carie of Concord and Sydney Skirvin, 5th grade daughter of Brett and Tori Skirvin of Chapin. Congratulations Abigail and Sydney!

For the week of October 28, Triopia is pleased to spotlight paraprofessional Mrs. Melissa Kaffenberger. Mrs. Kaffenberger graduated from Triopia and Lincoln Christian University with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys working with the grade school students in math and writing, but her favorite is helping supervise during library time when Mrs. Forsman reads to the kids.
Outside of school, Mrs. Kaffenberger enjoys attending her kids’ Trojan sporting events, cleaning houses, naps, and occasionally going out to eat.
Mrs. Kaffenberger said her favorite thing about Triopia is that it is home to her and the Trojan community is family, everyone is very nice and helpful. Mrs. Kaffenberger loves to fish, but doesn’t go very often because she hates bugs flying in her face or landing on her! She loves to bake, but would rather nap and she cleans houses, but her house is always a mess!
We are glad to have Mrs. Kaffenberger at Triopia this year! #triopia

Chronic absence affects all kids, not just the absent ones. Let's get our kids to school every day! #SchoolEveryDay #triopia

Trooper Molloy stopped by to visit Mr. Thompson’s Driver’s Education class today to present on a variety teen driving issues. We appreciate Trooper Molloy taking the time to visit us at #Triopia.

Shoutout to Mrs. Burchard and our Fine Arts students. The concert tonight was awesome. Our students are very talented and did an awesome job.

Triopia Schools will NOT be in session on Friday, October 25.

Early Dismissal - Wednesday and Thursday due to Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 23 and Thursday, October 24 from 3:30-7:30 each night. Grade School students should have brought home a note to sign up for a time slot. JH/HS parents, please contact the teacher directly or the JH/HS office to schedule an appointment.
Kids do better in school when parents get involved. Attending parent–teacher conferences is one way to be involved and help your child succeed.
A parent–teacher conference is a great opportunity to:
-discuss your child's progress
-share your child's strengths and needs
-work with the teacher to help your child do well in school
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hobrock or Mr. Sorrells.

At least 8 million students miss 10% of the school year nationwide. Let’s help all students be in #SchoolEveryDay #triopia

Miss Laurie visited with Mrs. Lonergan's 1st grade class and they discussed their favorites. They helped set the menu for tomorrow, October 23. The menu will be (their favorites - as a class): Scrambled Eggs, Sausage Links, Pancakes, Hash brown, Strawberries and Milk.

We hope you can join us!

The Triopia FFA is hosting a food drive to benefit the Cass County Food Pantry. Triopia will be collecting non-perishable food items now until Tuesday, October 29. Classes are in a competition to see who can bring in the most items per student – all donations are appreciated. GS students should take their donations to their classroom and JH/HS students should take theirs to the Ag room.

There is a HOME volleyball game vs. Calvary and JV football game vs. Carrollton this evening. Both games will begin at 6:00 PM. Come out and support the Trojans!
Along with the Band/Choir concert on Wednesday evening, art work was selected from each class and will be on display in the cafeteria. It will also be on display during conferences on Thursday evening. This is a snapshot of projects students have completed since the beginning of the year and our hope is to have another Fine Arts night later in the year to showcase more student work.

Our coaching staff would like to invite any 5th-8th grader that is interested in playing football in the future to our pre-game speech and walk.
Anyone interested is invited into the weight room at 6pm this Friday to listen to pre-game then they will transition with us to stretching. They will lead our football team onto the field before the game. We would ask that they wear their school colors that they attend. We would like to see as much Blue, Red and Orange as possible. Anyone that attends will receive a wristband with our motto on it as well. #triopia

For the week of October 21, Triopia is pleased to spotlight paraprofessional Mrs. Kate Hartsock. Mrs. Hartsock currently works in our Pre-K classroom. Mrs. Hartsock has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Illinois College, prior to coming to Triopia, Mrs. Hartsock taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade. She enjoys working in Pre-K because of the energy and fun the kiddos bring every day! They love learning and it is amazing to watch them grow and change throughout the year! Outside of school, Mrs. Hartsock enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and camping. She loves that Triopia is a small school and how everyone is so kind and helpful, a bonus is that she gets to work in the same building as her own children. Mrs. Hartsock grew up on a farm and would spend her summers showing cattle with her family! We are thankful to have Mrs. Hartsock as a part of our team at Triopia. #triopia
