Attendance
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 23 and Thursday, October 24 from 3:30-7:30 each night. Grade School students should have brought home a note to sign up for a time slot. JH/HS parents, please contact the teacher directly or the JH/HS office to schedule an appointment. Kids do better in school when parents get involved. Attending parent–teacher conferences is one way to be involved and help your child succeed. A parent–teacher conference is a great opportunity to: -discuss your child's progress -share your child's strengths and needs -work with the teacher to help your child do well in school If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Hobrock or Mr. Sorrells.

Our coaching staff would like to invite any 5th-8th grader that is interested in playing football in the future to our pre-game speech and walk. Anyone interested is invited into the weight room at 6pm this Friday to listen to pre-game then they will transition with us to stretching. They will lead our football team onto the field before the game. We would ask that they wear their school colors that they attend. We would like to see as much Blue, Red and Orange as possible. Anyone that attends will receive a wristband with our motto on it as well. #triopia

Along with the Band/Choir concert on Wednesday evening, art work was selected from each class and will be on display in the cafeteria. It will also be on display during conferences on Thursday evening. This is a snapshot of projects students have completed since the beginning of the year and our hope is to have another Fine Arts night later in the year to showcase more student work.

For the week of October 21, Triopia is pleased to spotlight paraprofessional Mrs. Kate Hartsock. Mrs. Hartsock currently works in our Pre-K classroom. Mrs. Hartsock has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Illinois College, prior to coming to Triopia, Mrs. Hartsock taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade. She enjoys working in Pre-K because of the energy and fun the kiddos bring every day! They love learning and it is amazing to watch them grow and change throughout the year! Outside of school, Mrs. Hartsock enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and camping. She loves that Triopia is a small school and how everyone is so kind and helpful, a bonus is that she gets to work in the same building as her own children. Mrs. Hartsock grew up on a farm and would spend her summers showing cattle with her family! We are thankful to have Mrs. Hartsock as a part of our team at Triopia. #triopia

If we’re going to reduce the dropout rate, we need to reduce absenteeism... 3/4ths of students who are chronically absent in 6th grade will dropout of high school and a student who is chronically absent in high school is 7.4X more likely to dropout! #schooleveryday #triopia
