Wednesday, April 1 is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, a national day when we celebrate our paraprofessionals and highlight the contributions of paraprofessionals to our students and school. Although, we aren't able to be at school today - we'd still like to recognize our paras for all they do for our students and teachers! We are blessed with the best!

Pre-K Screenings for incoming 3 and 4 years olds that were scheduled for Monday, April 6 has been postponed. We will notify parents when they have been rescheduled.
Thank you.

Did you know?
Every day in April we will share an agriculture fact - compliments of Illinois Ag in the Classroom - April's facts will be about soybeans.
Fact for April 1:
"More soybeans are grown in the United States than anywhere else in the world."

Good evening:
Governor Pritzker has extended the closure of schools through April 30th. Our “Remote Learning Plan” is available for viewing on the district website and our social media feeds. Teachers will be in contact regarding continued engagement opportunities. Lunches will continue to served during this time.
Stay well,

Triopia CUSD #27 Remote Learning Plan

Good morning:
Monday, March 30th is the last of Governor Pritzker's declared "Act of God" days. After this, school's have been asked to move into "Remote Learning Days". At this point, school is scheduled to restart in person on April 8th, however, there is a good chance that the closure will be extended.
I am responsible for creating a "Remote Learning Plan" for whatever remaining days we do not meet in person. I hope to have something created early next week. Just a few pieces of information. School will not extend into the summer, as the prior "Act of God" days and these "Remote Learning Days" will count towards days of attendance. Also, the "Remote Learning Plan" will be similar in build to what we have already been doing. I will say, after meeting online with other area superintendents this morning, our plan will revolve around "less is more", so we do not overwhelm parents and students during this historical event. Until the plan is completed and shared with the staff, I will leave it at that. I plan on meeting with the building administrators and the staff via an online teleconference on Monday.
Stay tuned for more information by Wednesday, April 1st at the latest.
Stay well,
Adam Dean, Superintendent

Side Note: If you are in need of laundry detergent, dryer sheets, shampoo, body wash, or lotion please be sure to reach out to a Freshman student to support their class.

Good afternoon. Since the closure has been extended a week, please do your best to complete activities/packets that were sent out last week. If you are looking for additional materials and/or ideas, please reach out to your child’s teacher or building principal.
If the closure is extended past April 7, staff and administrators will meet to reassess the situation.

At this time, Triopia Schools will be closed through April 7 and return to school on April 8. We know that during this closure, many parents are without work. Triopia Schools would like to continue to offer a lunch option to help lessen this burden. This is a FREE service open to ALL students, regardless of income.
Starting now there will be only TWO deliveries each week - Monday (you'll receive 2 lunches/child for Monday and Tuesday) and Wednesday (you'll receive 3 lunches/child for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). Again this is available to any child in your household under the age of 18.
A survey was sent via email and text to all parents listed in our system this morning. This survey only needs to be completed if you would like to receive lunches and currently do not. If you have received lunches this past week, we already have you on the list. If you need taken off the list at anytime, please contact Mrs. Hobrock.
Please complete the survey and submit by 5:00 PM this evening (Sunday, March 22) so proper preparations can be made for the upcoming weeks.
Again, please reach out to one of the administrators with any questions:

Good afternoon:
Today, Governor Pritzker extended school closures through April 7th. The administrators will meet early next week and share more information regarding continued learning after that. The plan is also to continue to provide lunches, although how those are distributed may change. We hope everyone stays well during this time.
Sincerely,
Adam Dean, Superintendent
