We have had reports of head lice at Triopia Grade School. Head lice can be common in school settings due to close contact of children. If you child does get lice, please call the school so we can check the entire class.
After a report last night, we took more precautions today and had students that share lockers put all their belongings in trash bags so nothing is touching. Head lice is very contagious. To minimize the risk or repeated outbreaks, remind your children not to share items such as combs, brushes, scarves, hats, headphones, etc.
Head lice can also survive for about half a day without a human host and cannot live on family pets. Please see the documents on our website that explain detection, treatment and prevention in more detail. If you have further questions, please contact Mrs. Hobrock.

JH Volleyball is having an early game @ Virginia today beginning at 5:00 bus leaves at 4:20. We apologize for the confusion. Thank you!

We are quickly approaching the 100th Day of School – January 28, 2020!
Every year we collect donations to make a contribution to a local organization. Classes will begin collecting money on Wednesday, January 22. Students are encouraged to bring in any denomination of coins (or bills) – pennies are not required! An assembly will be held on the 100th day, where we will present all the funds collected to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight representatives.
Funds collected this year will be donated to: Land of Lincoln Honor Flight – this experience is free to the veterans, but costs $525 to actually send them. Our hope is that Triopia Grade School can sponsor at least 2 veterans on the Honor Flight.
