The November Junior High Student of the Month is 8th grader Adam Krohe. He is the son of Kevin and Martha Krohe. Adam has one brother, Mason, in 6th grade. Adam participates in Band at Triopia, and is really looking forward to being in FFA in high school.
Adam was nominated for November Student of the Month because of his consistent dedication to learning and working hard in all of his classes. Teachers admire how closely he pays attention in class and also how precisely he completes his work. Not only is he motivated to do well academically, he is always the first to offer help with anything that is needed.
In the future Adam would like to attend college at the University of Illinois to study Agricultural Engineering! Currently, Adam’s favorite class is math because there is normally a clear and correct answer.
Fun facts about Adam: He is a 4-H Member and one day plans to have his own farm. Adam does not like to be idle or have nothing to do, so his hobby is working. He likes all the Marvel movies, and his favorite holiday is Thanksgiving.

The November Underclassman Student of the Month is 10th grader Faith Embley. She is the daughter of Patrick and Kelli Embley, and the big sister to Graycen who is a 7th grader at Triopia. Fatih’s older brothers are Daniel, a 2019 Triopia graduate and Eli a 2021 Triopia graduate. Faith is the co-captain of the Tripia Poms team and she is also a member of the Band, Student Council, and the school play.
Faith was nominated for Student of the Month because of her hard work and determination to learn and recall information. She is really good at applying what she learned in class. Faith also spends some of her free time volunteering both at Triopia and within our larger community.
Faith is interested in going to college to study Interior Design, but is unsure of where she would like to study. Currently, Faith’s favorite class is Spanish because she really likes learning about new languages and because knowing another language is a useful skill.
Fun facts about Faith: pineapple is good, especially on pizzas, but oranges are not in her opinion. She likes the show Good Luck Charlie and the movie Mulan, but doesn't like the Hallmark Channel at all. She is gearing up for her favorite holiday - Christmas. Away from Triopia, Faith dances at Sara’s Studio of Dance and is a member of the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

The November Upperclassman Student of the Month is 12th grader Maggie Foster. Maggie is the daughter of John and Jamie Foster. Maggie is the Yearbook Editor, Scholastic Bowl Captain, and the NHS Vice President.
Maggie was nominated for November Student of the Month because she goes above and beyond for her clubs and in class. She is depended on as a leader and takes on a leader role without hesitation.
After graduation Maggie plans earning a degree in nursing and would like to become a Nursing Educator. She has been accepted into the nursing programs at Illinois College, UIS, and Culver-Stockton but has not made her final decision yet. Maggie also plans to travel after high school. She enjoys her Yearbook class because she loves Mrs. Smith, and likes to create designs for publications. She also enjoys her senior English class because Mrs. Holt’s energy is contagious and she makes reading fun and enjoyable.
Fun facts about Maggie: she spends her free time reading, playing softball, watching the TV show Scorpion or the movie McFarland USA, and listening to music. She enjoys a good chicken tetrazzini and will not try new food.

A friendly reminder…
At Triopia sportsmanship is an expectation.
Let the players play.
Let the coaches coach.
Let the officials officiate.
Let the spectators be positive.

Congratulations to the 2022 Morgan County 7th grade Tournament Champs! Way to go - we are proud of you! 🏀

Special thanks to alumn, Ben Miller who spent some time in 3rd grade last Friday. He spoke about his time in the United States Air Force. He explained his reasons for joining, how it feels being so far from his family and friends, and how he does his job. They learned about all the hard work to learn his job, as well as how he "catches" airplanes in emergency situations. He also used the map to show us his route to his base in Texas and where he will be stationed in Germany. Once Ben is settled, the 3rd graders are going to become his pen pal.
