Morgan County Soil and Water Conservation District visited 3rd Grade today. Miss Dawnell taught the students the history of Arbor Day. They learned that Arbor Day originated in Nebraska City in the early 1870s. In 1970, President Nixon proclaimed the last Friday in April as National Arbor Day. Students each received two white oak trees to plant at home. Thank you, Miss Dawnell for teaching our students about Arbor Day! #triopia

Today our 8th grade students participated in the Welcome to the Real World Program provided by the University of Illinois Extension. This great program gave students insight into real life spending, budgeting, and costs.

Today the 5th grade made sun dials to see how the position of the sun helps us tell time! #triopia
