For the Week of September 16th, Triopia is pleased to spotlight 1st year faculty member Megan Smith. Mrs. Smith teaches our new business classes this year. Mrs. Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. Mrs. Smith expresses that her favorite class to teach is “all of them” as she has a “great group of students that make her classes so fun.” Outside of teaching, Mrs. Smith loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys reading, cooking, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Her favorite thing about Triopia CUSD #27 is that students and staff are so nice and welcoming. A fun and interesting fact about Mrs. Smith is that she would love to be on the Food Network TV Show “Chopped.” We are pleased to have Mrs. Smith at Triopia and are thankful for her coming in and starting new classes for us this school year.

Our student section is prepared to “Protect our House” as the Lady Trojans face North Greene! #triopia #superheronight

Upcoming Safety Drills

Just a reminder that all students NOT riding a bus or driving themselves to school should be dropped off in front in the circle drive. We made this change last year for safety reasons. Thank you for your help with this.
Mark your calendar for September 28 for the Ken Bradbury Triopia Music Extravaganza - shows at 2:30 and 7:00 at Triopia. Please see image for where to purchase tickets!

Miss Laurie visited with the Kindergarten class and they discussed their favorites. Mrs. Seymour's kindergarten class helped set the menu for tomorrow, September 11.
The menu will be (their favorites - as a class):
Baked Spaghetti
Garlic Bread
Corn on the Cob
Apple Slices
Chocolate Chip Cookie
Milk

Mrs. Morrow and the Triopia Yearbook staff attended a conference today in Hannibal where they learned quite a bit about producing a yearbook and made lasting memories while doing so.

JV Football @ Calhoun will start now at 6:30. The bus will leave Triopia at 4:30.
For the Week of September 9th, Triopia is pleased to spotlight 1st year faculty member Mrs.
Krista Whelan. Mrs. Whelan teaches science. Mrs. Whelan graduated with a Bachelor’s from
Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. Mrs. Whelan expresses that her favorite class
to teach is 8th Grade Science. Outside of teaching, Mrs. Whelan loves to spend time with her
husband and her 9 month old son. Her favorite thing about Triopia CUSD #27 is that students
and staff have been very welcoming. A fun and interesting fact about Mrs. Whelan is that she
was born and raised in San Diego, California. We are pleased to have Mrs. Whelan at #Triopia.
