Our custodial staff may spend the majority of their time behind the scenes, but they deserve much recognition. Our building is one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest in the area and maybe in Illinois! They are the first to arrive and the last to leave and do so much in between. Our custodial crew at Triopia is prideful, selfless, and amazing in everything that they do. Thanks Amy, Eric, Karen and Roger - each of you make Triopia CUSD 27 a better place.

Mr. Sorrells joined Mrs. Smith's Consumer Ed class for a taste test on Tuesday morning! They tried seven different products and had to determine which was generic and which was name brand. The students are currently learning how to budget and really enjoyed this experiment!

We are honored to announce that our Early Childhood (Pre-k) program was one of 142 programs in the state to receive a Gold Circle of Quality recognition.

Gold Circle programs have met the highest quality standards in three areas: learning environment and teaching quality; administrative standards; and training & education. For the week of September 30, Triopia is pleased to spotlight paraprofessional Mrs. Angie Phelps. Mrs. Phelps graduated from Triopia then took classes at MacMurray. She returned to Triopia in 1997, where she has worked in every grade level from PK-12th grade. Mrs. Phelps' favorite task here at Triopia is really any task, she loves seeing students feel good about themselves for accomplishing goals they thought they were unable to achieve! Outside of school, she enjoys walking her black lab, Dora and her chocolate granddog, Bella and biking. She also enjoys traveling to warm beaches. Her favorite thing about Triopia is the feeling that we are a family and the relationships formed with students. Something you might not know about Mrs. Phelps, is that she is a certified open water scuba diver. We are blessed to have Mrs. Phelps on our team at Triopia! #triopia
