We are looking forward to a great start! #triopia

Attention JH and HS Students! We look forward to getting back into the swing of things and having you all back in class tomorrow morning. We ask that all JH and HS students pick up your tracker, schedule, and chromebook in the HS gym when they arrive in the morning. Once they have picked up those materials, they can go to their locker if needed and then report directly to their 1st hour class. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Good Afternoon:
Please take a moment to read through this FAQ document about symptoms and quarantining. This guidance will be followed in order to provide a safe environment for our students and staff. While there is much more within the document, students (and their siblings) and staff showing any listed symptoms of COVID-19 will be quarantined at home until a negative test result (or alternative diagnosis) is provided or the quarantine period runs out. Students sent home who can participate in remote learning will be provided that opportunity.

One last thing, while some have already made this decision, if there is anyone else that is able and willing to bring or pick up their students to school instead of relying on bus transportation during this time, please let your corresponding office know. This can be everyday or just one trip a week. Any amount that can be provided is helpful. We understand that transportation is needed for many of our students, but if we are able to thin our crowds on the buses out some, this will help aid in our distancing efforts.
We are looking forward to a great start to the year!
Thanks,
Adam Dean
Superintendent

Attention Senior Athletes:

Good evening:
This afternoon we were given some good news. The IESA reversed their decision on junior high sports in the fall. This was due to the change in guidance from the state. Therefore, softball at Meredosia and baseball at Virginia will now take place for our junior high students.
We are still working out the details, but we are allowed to begin practice as soon as Monday. As soon as we have more information we will let you know.
Have a nice weekend.
Sincerely,
Adam Dean
Superintendent

Today we received this letter from the Office of the Governor. As always, we are proud of our students, their families, and the staff that lead them and feel the need to share recognition when it is given. Thank you to the athletes, coaches, and all others who were involved!

Attention Class of 2021:

Good Afternoon:
Today the IHSA released their "Return to Activities 1.0" plan for Illinois high school sports. The document is below. In order to attempt to have all sports for our student athletes this year, they have adjusted the calendar. In regards to sports that Triopia high school athletes can participate in:
Golf (at Virginia) is from August 10-October 24
Basketball, Dance, and Cheerleading are from November 16-February 13th
Football and Volleyball are from February 15th-May 1st
Baseball, Softball, and Track and Field (at Virginia) are from May 3-June 26
Other details about the number of contests, etc. can be found on the attached document.
At this point, the IESA has cancelled junior high baseball and softball. If this changes, you will be updated.
Outdoor summer workouts with social distancing can continue at this point until further guidance is given.
As always, if you have any questions reach out to my office.
Sincerely,
Adam Dean
