Any girls in grades 6-8 who are interested in playing junior high volleyball are encouraged to attend open gyms on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45-5:30 starting on November 2nd. Players should bring their own water bottles and wear masks. There will not be a player/parent meeting this year, but relevant information will be sent home with players during the first week.

Due to restrictions, we are unable to hold our annual Veterans Day Recognition program. We would still like to honor those Veterans with a complimentary curbside pickup breakfast on Wednesday, November 11 from 9-10 AM. To RSVP for breakfast, please contact Mrs. Hobrock at 217-457-2281 x1032 or via email at jhobrock@triopiacusd27.org.
On November 11, please pull in the upper back parking lot and then down through the fire lane - we will meet you with your complimentary breakfast.
*If you are new to the community and are a veteran or know of a local veteran, please contact Mrs. Hobrock in order to be added to our list for future programs.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the next two evenings from 3:30-7:30. Grade school parents who are attending in person, please park in the front of the school and come through the main grade school doors. Please don’t arrive too early, we ask you to wait in your vehicles until your assigned time.
As you enter, you will have your temperature taken and will be required to wear a mask at all times when inside the building. Please limit the number of people attending.
Thank you again for taking part in your children’s education.

A friendly school competition to support Breast Cancer Awareness...
the winning building will get to decide which administrator gets a Pie in the Face!

We've had a great first two months of school thanks to the hard work of everyone involved. Parents, please remember to continue your daily symptom and temperature screenings on your children to keep our students, staff and community safe!

Thank you to Sherie Trace and Brett Yates for taking the time to come speak to our seniors this week about civic engagement! They both spoke about ways to get involved in the community and how small acts of kindness can have great ripple effects! A small group of people can make a difference. A special thank you to Mrs. Price for getting this opportunity set up for our students.

We are experienced issues with our phone lines this morning. Please use email to communicate any absences, etc. with the secretaries this morning.

Just a reminder:
Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for October 28 and 29, 2020. Conferences this year will look a little different due to restrictions. All grade school students will receive a note or email from their child's teacher(s) with more information. If you do not receive anything, please contact your child's teacher or Mrs. Hobrock.
All junior high and high school parents should click on this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0F45AAAF2FA5FA7-20201 or call the high school office to schedule an appointment with your child's teacher(s). We appreciate you being active partners in your child's education!

As the forecast changes daily and it continues to get cooler, please check each morning and send your child in the appropriate attire.
We will have recess and PE outside EVERYDAY, weather permitting.
If your child is in need of a winter coat, gloves/mittens or anything, please contact the GS office at 217-457-2281 x1030 or email Mrs. Hobrock at jhobrock@triopiacusd27.org.
Thank you!

Congratulations to our students, staff and community on a successful first NINE weeks of school. Thanks to our custodial staff for keeping things extra clean, our teaching and support staff for their dedication to in-person and remote learners, and all other staff who work hard to transport, cook, and do everything necessary for our kids. Please continue to do what you can to follow guidelines outside of school in order to keep our doors open! #triopia

Good afternoon:
We have been having occasional traffic concerns in the front during student drop-off and pick-up before and after school, mainly with major congestion on the highway. This is unsafe. In order to try to curb these issues, please read the following guidelines.
1. When dropping off students in the morning, if you have to exit your vehicle to help a student out of a car, we ask that you park either in the diagonal drive or the parking spaces on the outside of the circle drive. You then can walk your student to the canopy area. The circle drive drop off should only be used for students who can exit the vehicle on their own.
2. In the afternoon, we have an early bus that drops off at the subdivision across the road, then comes back to pick up more students for the remainder of their route. Please be cognizant of this and do not block the entry to the circle drive for this bus. There should be a clear path for the bus to return to the canopy area.
3. When picking up after school, arrive as close to 2:30 as possible. Any earlier causes these congestion issues and that is the time car riders are usually dismissed to their cars anyway. If possible, please park in the parking spaces or the diagonal drive to save as much space as possible.
4. If there is major congestion which doesn’t allow you to pull into the circle drive and keeps you on the highway, please circle around and wait for the busses to leave or wait in the back parking lot until roughly 2:30 when there should be plenty of space in the front drive.
Thanks for your help in keeping our students, families, and all those who pass by our school safe!
Sincerely,
Adam Dean
Superintendent
