Our Class of 2023 "Senior Class Spotlight" for today is Kaitlynn Marie Lindler Ascencio. Kaitlynn spent her time during school participating in volleyball and CEO class (where she's created her own business selling wreaths!). Her favorite class is Ceramics and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Wardell. Outside of school, Kaitlynn works at Hamilton's. After she graduates, she plans on attending cosmetology school and she wants to start her own business as a stylist. Her favorite animal is a dolphin, and Kaitlynn says she loves trying new things! We are proud to have had Kaitlynn at Triopia and we are excited to see what she accomplishes after graduation! #triopia #seniorspotlight

There will be NO HS girls game tonight. Pawnee is unable to play due to lack of available players.

Congratulations to Mrs. Amanda Surratt, our district's School Counselor, on being awarded with a "Those Who Excel" Award from the Illinois State Board of Education!
The annual "Those Who Excel" & "Teacher of the Year" Awards celebrate incredible classroom teachers, administrators, teams, volunteers, and school support personnel who have made lasting impacts on the students, families, and fellow educators in their school communities. ISBE will celebrate the awardees at a banquet on April 29.
“The Those Who Excel & Teacher of the Year Awards recognize the people who make education in Illinois so incredible,” said interim State Superintendent of Education Krish Mohip. "Our finalists for Teacher of the Year are amazing. They are pushing the envelope in the classroom, empowering their students, and constantly striving to strengthen their craft. We are so proud to have these excellent educators, as well as amazing custodians, administrators, volunteers, counselors, librarians, and other school support personnel, delivering unparalleled excellence to our students every day."
We are proud to have Mrs. Surratt in our building and are thankful for what she does for our students everyday!

These comments are "thank yous" from the NHS Cup of Joe fundraiser in the fall. These came from deployed soldiers and we wanted to share with our community the thank yous.

The December Underclassman Student of the Month is 9th grader Raegan Bunch. She is the daughter of Kristy Bunch. Raegan plays volleyball for Triopia.
Reagan was nominated for Student of the Month because of her leadership qualities that she displays in the classroom. When pressured to name her favorite class this year, she is unable to do so. She says that she likes all of her classes the same amount because they all have their pros and cons, and her favorite class changes all the time.
Reagan is interested in working in the medical field in the future, possibly as a nurse. She likes to watch baseball, eat popcorn, and watch Car Masters: Rust to Riches. Her favorite holiday is Christmas, but not a White Christmas as she doesn't like snow.

We’ve made it! #triopia

The December Upperclassman Student of the Month is 11th grader Collin Caldwell. Collin is the son of Joe and Anita Caldwell. Collin is the middle child, with older brother Eric (Class of 2021), and younger sister Alyssa who is a 9th grader. Collin plays baseball for Triopia and is a member of Student Council and National Honor Society.
Collin was nominated for December Student of the Month for his ability to master difficult concepts and his willingness to help his classmates. He has also been complimented for his service as a Student Council member. Collin’s dedication to his school work and the kindness he shows others is appreciated by all his teachers and classmates.
Collin has not selected his future plans yet, he just knows he wants to be successful.
Fun facts about Collin: he spends his free time playing video games, playing baseball, watching the TV show NCIS or the movie Shawshank Redemption. His favorite food is tacos and he despises the frosted sugar cookies from Walmart.
