Fifth graders celebrating International Dot Day 2023 #triopia

Good Afternoon:
Today, the concrete pad for the secure entrance/grade school office addition was poured. This will need to settle for roughly a week. Next, we are awaiting the completion of the trusses for the project so they then can begin the framing of the addition. We are being told those are four weeks from being ready. HVAC contractors will be in next week to begin preparations on the inside of the current building so we can bring a controlled temperature into the new building. As always, I will continue to update you as progress is made.
Sincerely,
Adam Dean
Superintendent

Good Morning:
Please see the attached images for this week's progress on the Secure Entry/GS Office Addition Project. This week the footings were put in place and preparation for the pouring of the concrete pad was completed. As you can see on today's image, electrical outlets will be placed within the new conference room floor. The pad will be poured on Monday and then will set for a week. During the week of September 18th, walls will begin to go up! It's been exciting to watch the progress take place and we can't wait to share more progress with you!

For the 2023-2024 school year, Triopia is pleased to spotlight its new staff members. Hunter Stockton is our new Grade School PE teacher! Mr. Stockton grew up in New Berlin, the home of the Pretzels! He then attended Illinois College and graduated in the spring of 2022. This is his second year of teaching, and as a student at IC, he student taught here! His favorite subject in school was math. When asked about his favorite thing about teaching, Mr. Stockton said, “Making a positive impact on each and every student, and helping youth become life-long advocates for physical activity." Outside of school, his interests include living an active lifestyle, golf, and fishing. Mr. Stockton said that his favorite thing about Triopia is how the staff and community at Triopia instantly took him in as their own. He says you don’t see that everywhere, and he knew he would make his way back when the opportunity came! We are happy and proud to have Mr. Stockton now working with our students! #triopia

The 6th graders relaxed after a full week with Flashlight Friday reading! 🩵📖 🔦 #triopia

For the 2023-2024 school year, Triopia is pleased to spotlight its new staff members. Sarah Dean is our new Jr. Sr. High School Math teacher! Miss Dean graduated from Illinois College in 2012 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and endorsements in math and social science. After graduation, she taught 7th and 8th grade math at North Greene for eleven years. Miss Dean’s favorite subject is math. She loves it when a student goes from hating math to then telling her it’s her favorite subject! She also loves when concepts finally click with a student or class when they’ve been struggling with it for a while and when a shy student finally has the confidence to teach the class! Outside of school, Miss Dean like traveling (this includes to baseball games at new stadiums), exercising, and puzzles. So far, her favorite part of Triopia would be the sense of community she already feels. She’s only been here a couple of weeks but she feels welcomed and supported! When asked for something random, Miss Dean shared that her first plane ride was to Japan and that she’s been to Tokyo. We are happy and proud to have Miss Dean now working with our students! #triopia
