Third Grade took a field trip to Henson Robinson Zoo this week. It was a perfect way to conclude their animal research and life science unit. Students enjoyed an animal encounter with a zookeeper, where they learned about the difference between turtles and tortoises and about box turtles, which are actually tortoises because they only live on dry land.

Good morning,
Last night, the Board of Education approved a few parking and paving improvements to be completed during the summer of 2026. These include:
-The front diagonal drive will receive new curbing, sidewalks leading into the building, and 25 parking spaces finished in concrete. This is reflected in the attached image.
-The rear fire lane will receive new curbing and additional sidewalks, including a curved sidewalk connecting to the main rear walkway that leads to the cafeteria patio and grade school gym entrance. These improvements are designed to enhance safety and provide easier access to the building from the rear parking lot.
As with any paving project, the parking lot will experience several weeks of significant construction this summer. The district will keep the community, staff, and students informed about designated parking areas during various phases of the project, especially when events are taking place on campus.
I am grateful for the opportunity to lead a district where we can make improvements that enhance safety, accessibility, and contribute to the overall appearance of our beautiful, small school campus.
Sincerely,
Adam Dean
Superintendent
