For the Week of August 26th, Triopia is pleased to spotlight 1st year faculty member and ALUMNI Mr. Adam Brockhouse. Mr. Brockhouse teaches High School Physical Education and has taken the reigns of the Football Program this year. Mr. Brockhouse graduated with a Bachelor's degree from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois. Mr. Brockhouse’s favorite class to teach is Athletic Enhancement and is working on implementing that into our PE offerings in the future. Outside of teaching, Mr. Brockhouse enjoys woodworking, lifting, and attending his daughter's dance competitions. His favorite thing about Triopia CUSD #27 is the family atmosphere as students and staff all greet each other with a smile. A random fact about Mr. Brockhouse is that he enjoys amusement parks and riding roller coasters. We are pleased to have Mr. Brockhouse at #Triopia.

Attention Trojan Nation! The Board of Education has given permission to explore purchasing a 14’X8’ video board for our high school gym to be installed this fall. We believe that the video board will be a great addition to our facility and will provide an exciting atmosphere for our student athletes and fans. The athletic program will generate funds by advertisements and once the video board is paid off, the money raised will go back into athletic programs. This project is a lot up front, but will be a major source of income for athletic supplies, uniforms, and facility upgrades in the future.
At this time, we have reached out to a few businesses already and have had some luck. However, we do not want to leave anyone out that may have an interest in getting it off the ground. At this time, we are asking for a $5,000 advertisement over the course of three years which will include:
- A static sign hung by the video board for the life of the board which will be visible every minute of the day
- A scrolling advertisement during events for 3 years
- A 3’X6’ sign displayed on the football field for 3 years.
Other advertisement packages will be available shortly. With that being said, if there are any businesses, organizations or individuals interested in being a major contributor for this project please contact Rich Thompson (rthompson@triopiacusd27.org) or Josh Sorrells (jsorrells@triopiacusd27.org).
Go Trojans!

The Triopia staff has been hard at work since last April working to secure dual credit opportunities for this years juniors and seniors. The hard work has paid off, and a majority of our upperclassmen have been enrolled in classes to receive both high school and college credits. Triopia is offering a total of 9 dual credit classes which are Calculus, College Algebra, Trigonometry, US History before 1877, US History after 1877, Composition I, Composition II, Ag Mechanics, and Horticulture. These classes are taught by Mr. Doyle, Miss. Harmon, Miss. Lynn, and Ms. Sriner. 42 students are enrolled in a total of 80 classes, which will earn 354 credit hours. 288 of those credit hours are transferable to most colleges and universities nationwide. This is a tuition savings of $41,040 for our parents and students (based on LLCC tuition).
