National School Bus Safety Week (October 19-23) kicked off today, however, it is something that is taken seriously in our community and practiced everyday! Triopia School Districts operates 6 full time buses and drivers. Last year, from August to March the buses traveled 88,362 miles. In a traditional school year our buses typically travel around 120,000 miles. That's almost around the earth 5 times in a year (24,901 miles).
This week is a great way for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus drivers, administrators, and other interested parties to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety.
