Student of the Week

Triopia Grade School's character trait of the month is RESPONSIBILITY.

We have been very busy learning about responsibility, what it means, why it's important and how to be responsible!  Learning happens best when it is done both at school and at home.  Below are many ways that you can help your child continue to learn about the theme of responsibility through reading about it, talking about it, and demonstrating it!

Here are some books to help you learn more about citizenship:
The Berenstain Beards and the Trouble with Chores by Stan Berenstain
You Can Count on Me by Regina Burch
Do I Have To?: Kids Talk About Responsibility by Nancy Loewen

Personal responsibility means choosing to do the right things without being told.

Does it matter if other people think you are responsible? Why or why not?
How can acting irresponsible hurt a friendship?

Do you still trust someone after they let you down?
How can you show responsibilty at home or school?

Triopia Grade School faculty & staff are using character traits to select "Students of the Week" this year.  One student will be selected weekly and will be featured on the bulletin board outside the office.

Congratulations to our students that have been selected.
