Triopia's Roberta Clark Chapter of National Honor Society held an induction ceremony on Thursday, December 8.

For many years Triopia did not have a chapter of the NHS until a remarkable lady and wonderful English teacher, Roberta Clark, finally persuaded the school to establish a chapter here. It is through her efforts that we are here today, and we still strive to reach the standard she set.  Each chapter also follows national standards and criteria for members as established by the National Honor Society constitution.

The constitution states:

  • To be eligible for membership the candidate must be a junior or senior.
  • Candidates must have a minimum cumulative scholastic average, or GPA, of 3.5.
  • Candidates shall then be evaluated on the basis of service, leadership, and character.

‚ÄčOnce selected, members have the responsibility of creating an enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulating a desire to render service, promoting leadership, and developing character. These are the principles of NHS: Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service.

On December 8, Triopia proudly welcomed the following into the Roberta Clark Chapter: R. Hancock, N. Hart, K. Janes, B. Job, B. Littleton, A. Lucas, B. Pool, L. Rahe and R. Skillett.
